Duties and responsibilities include:
- Keeps records

- Required Maintenance
- Supplies Needed
- Manage Staff
- Collect all monies, place in office safe
- Maintain a relationship with parents
- Make sure staff attends bi monthly staff meetings
- Assist Owners in making sure the ideals and core values are present in everything that we do Schedule and conduct fire drills
- Make sure that parents are receiving communication from owners (i.e. letters left for parents, Signs for Bulletin Boards & Doors)
- Complete homework sheets for each child for the purpose of parental communication
- Assist children with homework and activities
- Organize and participate in recreational activities, such as games, and crafts.
- Prior to children’s arrival classroom should be orderly with all supplies available and ready for homework or activity time.
- Organize and store toys and materials to ensure that classroom is neat.
- Perform housekeeping duties such as cleaning your classroom:
- Make sure all tables are clean
- shelves are orderly and dusted
- desk is clean and organized
- classroom is mopped once a week
- Make sure bathrooms and kitchen are cleaned and mopped on your assigned day
- Support children’s emotional and social development, encouraging understanding of others and positive self-concepts.
- No degrading of students
- No yelling at students
- Discipline children according to approved discipline guidelines (see handbook).
- Maintain Accountability:
- Care for own belongings (books, bags, jackets)
- Identify signs of emotional or developmental problems in children and bring to the director/owner’s attention so that it can be brought to the parents’ or guardians’ attention.
- Assist owner as needed with weekly and monthly assignments
- Assist with transporting children when needed
- Handle any communication with DHS if director/owner is not present
